Frequently Asked Questions

While I try to provide answers to most questions below, do not hesitate to reach out via the contact button at the bottom of the page if needed!

  • During what time of day should I schedule my shoot? Because we live in Alaska, this varies throughout the year. When you contact me, I'll reach out with a suggested time of day. Note: mid-day can provide harsh photography conditions and I would recommend avoiding this.
  • I don't see the exact package I want - can I modify a package? Packages are customizable (please reach out with specifics in contact form at bottom of page)
  • When is my payment due? 50% deposit of package price due at time of reservation; other 50% due at or before the start of the session
  • How do I access my photos? All photos will be delivered via digital download on my website. Photos are password-protected.
  • What are your turnaround times for photo delivery? Standard turnaround time is 2 weeks. 3-day turnaround time is also available (see pricing for each package).
  • How many times can I print my photos? As many times as you'd like!
  • What about the raw files? I invest ample amount of time diligently culling raw photos to ensure that I deliver only the best to each client! Raw files are unedited and therefore will not be useable by clients; to preserve the integrity of my brand, I do not provide raw files to clients.
  • I'm interested in a photo session in a remote location or somewhere beyond Fairbanks, Alaska-can you do this? Absolutely- let's make it happen! I have spent ample time traveling throughout Alaska and am more than happy to travel to you. Flights, hotels, etc are not included in travel expenses and will need to be negotiated when discussing package prices.
  • What kind of additional skills do you have to ensure safety in remote locations? Having spent much of my personal and professional life outdoors, I have over 30 years of experience in basic wilderness and safety skills, including conducting work in bear habitat. I maintain a Wilderness First Aid certification (which includes basic first aid/CPR). Should you be interested in an on-water shoot, I'm swiftwater rescue-certified with over 12 years of whitewater rafting and remote logistical planning experience.
